Who is Progress Over Perfection?
We are a learning center, located in downtown Athens, TN. Our goal is to encourage learners to pursue knowledge and experiences with a mindset of progress over perfection. We believe that no two learners are alike, therefore not all learning, nor means of education, need to look the same. Whether you are looking to supplement your homeschool curriculum, provide additional learning opportunities for your traditional student or take classes as an adult, we have a little something for everyone.
Founder & Instructor
My name is Stephanie Swanson. First and foremost, I am a wife and mother. Although my family will always come first, my passion is teaching. I decided to take time off from teaching when my son was born in 2020, however it wasn't long before I was missing that additional spark of joy teaching brings me. I had often been asked if I would be willing to teach Spanish privately, and while the idea was often marinating in the back of my mind, I do not like to do anything half way. So once I decided to take that leap, I did it with both feet. While researching venue options to host classes, I soon learned that it was more financially viable to rent my own office space. Plus, this allowed me to be more flexible with my one on one clientele. Once I had a full blown classroom, I decided to branch out beyond just Spanish and offer my humble expertise in the academic areas in which I had the most experience. As a life long learner myself, I am constantly working to grow my own knowledge base and improve my skills to be the best instructor I can. I hope you will consider Progress Over Perfection for your learning needs.
